According to the rules of ichthyology – zoology branch which studies fish – species in aquarium pools have been divided according to the zones of their habitat in a typical karst river such as Korana that the Aquarium is located next to. Therefore, exhibition part of Aquatika consists of zones of trout, grayling, barbel, bream, flounder, aquariums with predators pikes and catfish, endemic species, large aquarium with fish belonging to the family of sturgeons, stagnant waters and finally the aquarium with introduced species and a travertine barrier, i.e. waterfalls.
