My name is Goran Jakšić, PhD and I will guide you through the Karlovac Aquarium we named Aquatika.
According to relief and geological features we distinguish Pannonian and karst part of Croatia, and inland waters belong to the Basins of the Black and the Adriatic Sea.
In inland waters in Croatia there are around 150 fish species, which classifies us as one of the ichtiologically richest European countries. Aquarium pools in Aquatika are designed to show the flow of a typical karst river from source to mouth and you will be able to see around 100 fish species in them.
